We live in an age of broken politics, overwhelming civic cynicism, and vast disparities in wealth and justice. At the same time, grassroots interest in remaking democracy abounds, from the maturing open government movement to a proliferation of new civic engagement and empowerment platforms.
Join us for a new conversation about what kind of society we wish to live in, and what solutions will move us most quickly in that direction.
CivicMakers is a community of creative, passionate people working at the intersection of democracy and technology. We gather regularly to answer the questions “what does real democracy look like, and how can technology help us get there?” More salon than meetup, more world-changing than networking, CivicMakers is just like democracy…your participation is required.
