Vikas is a designer dedicated to socially-conscious and equitable design work. Integrating engineering, social service, art, and research, he works with teams and with communities to apply a empathy-heavy design thinking process to their challenges – and focuses on bringing collective design solutions through to implementation.
He has launched & mentored various service projects with a focus on interactive education, gender inclusion in tech, and advancing STEM engagement. This work has ranged from technology education conferences, to a nutrition education app with Second Harvest Food Bank, to a gender equity and entrepreneurship curriculum in San Jose and coaching the City of San Jose Parks and Neighborhood Services Department in design work.
Vikas is a sophomore at Stanford University studying mechanical engineering and education policy. He’s active in the social service design & public service communities, and enjoys rock climbing, satirical news, real news, and building beach forts.
