Client Need
FUSE Corps is a national nonprofit that supports local government by placing Executive Fellows in local government agencies to work on yearlong strategic projects. FUSE was seeking additional capacity in supporting their Fellows by expanding the offerings of their Innovation Labs to include Visioning, Strategic Planning and Community Engagement.
Our Approach
CivicMakers supported three FUSE Fellows on the collaborative design and facilitation of various rapid-prototyping Innovation Labs for the benefit of agency staff. We conducted a future state analysis in Los Angeles to galvanize the Small Business Community Around the 2028 Olympics; helped the Office of Economic Development of Los Angeles hone their outreach efforts regarding Minimum Wage Enforcement; and convened a Skills Taskforce (including community members and local businesses) in the Mayor’s Office at the City of Stockton to devise an Action Plan for improving workforce and economic development efforts.
We look forward to continuing to support FUSE Fellows in applying innovation methodologies to their work!
