This was third event CivicMakers has hosted on the issue, and momentum is building, as evidenced from a standing room only crowd at the event. 18 SepKicking Off Civic Mixer Fall Series With Some Civic Action


We kicked off our first CivicMixer of the season by joining HandUp at their Annual Homeless Outreach Day. Around 60 volunteers from local companies and nonprofits hit the streets to give out much-needed hygiene kits and HandUp Gift Cards, reaching more than 200 people in one afternoon. Afterwards, we gathered at The Hall for our Civic Mixer to reflect on how we can integrate technological systems with the existing social realities to create programs that would best serve those in need.
